Can you change body shops once you have told your car insurance company you will use a certain one?

The car has not yet been in for repair, but I have told the insurance company I will accept a particular body shop I am not so fond of after I did some research.

3. business rule no.1,the customer is always right.since you are the insurance customer,you should be able to choose anyone you what to repair your vehicle.however they will probably what you to pay part of the bill of you don't use their shop.fight a litle and they should come around.
