- it is normally but only use companies you have herd of. i use directline and they are always cheapest for me
- they have to have your personal info so they can work out best deals for you things like your age, job and area you live all affect price of car insurance not just make and model of car. i use tesco insurance i've found these to be by far the cheapest
- Unless you are prepared to give all your personal details, they cannot give you an accurate quote..... no point really. I found a really good price on either Elephant or try using gocompare.com
- Try the RAC they seem to have their act together. A.
- Try supermarket.com You do need to give the information required to enable to get a quote, but you do not have to buy it. Tick in the relevant box that you do not wish to be sent any correspondence of any kind otherwise you will receive e-mails now and again. Just delete them anyway.
- How can they give you a quote if you don't give any information?
- I got my car insurance through tesco. Not too many unecessary questions and cheap.
- Hi Sally, I would try Churchill`s car insurance.
- Yes, you'll need to supply details. I saved 40% last year by going via www.confused.com
- Go to a reputable independent agent with lots of companies. Ask what discounts are available (AAA, driver training, etc.), and coverage suggestions on how to save money (high deductibles vs. liability only). You'll need to give all your personal info for an accurate quote (driver's record and credit score affect price). You might also want to pay automatically from your bank account to increase the number of installments and minimize the installment fees. An independent agent can switch you in-house in case a company changes their rates dramatically.
