  1. Get a practical car...ie, not a Camaro/Mustang and get the state required minimum insurance. That's the easiest way to have the lowest insurance price.
  2. you can get a camera to go in your car... you have to have it for a year and it just records if you have to slam on the brakes or swerve fast.... it doesn't record everything like you breaking the law or anything.. i don't know if hard accelaration will trigger it
  3. Take a defensive driving class and be a good student.
  4. Get good grades. Don't drive a red car. Drive a four door car.
  5. I suggest you read this : http://www.autoinsuranceselect.com/article-14/saving_money_on_teen_car_insurance/ Saving Money On Teen Car Insurance this will help and guide you plus you will learn some tips in order to lower your insurance rate..goodluck
  6. have a car you only have to carry liability on, keep your driving record clean, get good grades, and try and get on your parents policy. that will afford you all their discounts such as homeowner, good credit, etc... also if you have more drivers than autos on the policy you can be listed as an occassional driver instead of a primary.
  7. get a slower, less powerful car or move to the countryside
  8. Usually today coupes and suvs have the highest rates. If you have either one of those i dont think the price margin by getting a new car would help. Look around for other insurance providers see what other companies are offering.
