Which car insurance company is the best deal?

I am looking for the best deal on car insurance. Don't just tell me that whatever company you have is best. I want to know why. Did you make a claim and have really good service? Are the prices much lower than others? Do you get a good discount for being a good driver, or combining with other insurance (such as renters)?

1. I have AAA.. I got the best deal by combineing my cars and homeowners you have to shop though, some companys are better with different age groups, or areas where you live... Sometimes just a few blocks can make a difference in cost....
2. I don't think that quoting a name will help you as nowadays their prices vary immensely according to *how you approach them*, and how much under pression they are when giving you that first quote. I have a friend with the same company as I am, he has the same '71 Alfa GTV insured, he's same age etc but pays 4 times as much as I do. Actually it's fair to say that he pays a normal price for one that walked into their office. I have never seen my brokers, there's no need to and it saves me money. In ending, the best deal for me is the cheapest and there isn't a name to give as quotes change by the *minute*.
