Will my car insurance company pay for damages if someone else was driving my car at the time of the accident?

okay, if wondering. for example; My brother borrows my car, and wrecks it, and he is not listed as a driver in my car insurance, will my insaurance company(Statefarm) pay for the damages for my car?

  1. yes they will and you still will be subject to the deductible. If your brother drives your car all the time I reccomend you putting him on your insurance, so your insurance company wont deny the claim. Plus it will not go your on license it will go on the person who is driving the vehicle
  2. NO...NO.. i was in the same situation u might have to lie and say u were driving but if not they wont pay and they might drop ur insurance
  3. They MUST pay your claim but could later drop you for an undisclosed driver. To say they would not pay is nonsense, as you are covered by anyone you give permission to drive your car.
