3. You dont need to make a ton of calls.... Just call 3 independent agents. Each of them should have at least 3 companies, so you can end up with the best price from each of them and have 3 to choose from. That way you got at least 9 companies quotes and possibly 30 or 40 quotes that you dont even realize. Dont only shop for price.... service and being able to reach someone is also VERY important. Also keep in mind that there is no "best priced" company anymore these days.... with the "tiering" structures they use today you can take someone with the same car, DOB, and garaging address and end up with in between 40 and 300(thats right 300!!!) different rates. Each company has their own system and you will find that a company that is not cheap for you may be cheap for someone you know..... what the other guy has makes NO difference anymore..... They used credit based "insurance scores" with almost every company and that makes it impossible to tell who is cheapest.... you have to be a good consumer and do some legwork.... BUT it will pay off....... GOOD LUCK!!!!
