In need of Car Insurance Sr22?? Who is best 2 go with??

I am looking for a cheaper but reliable insurance 2 go with for an SR22.. Does anyone have companies? IT is 4 a: 18 & 19 year old Male. In the IL area. Please and thank you

1. SR22 is not insurance. SR22 is a form your insurance agent fills out and sends to the state showing that you have insurance. If you have insurance, your agent should be able to help you.
2. An SR22 is an endorsement on your regular auto policy. How much it costs depends on why you need it. Many insurance companies won't WRITE a policy for someone who needs an SR 22, and a lot of other companies don't like writing 18 year olds. You're going to need to shop around, but start with Progressive.
3. Typically, insurance rates are filed by the various insurance companies that are licensed to do business in your State, and they vary from State to State. The best thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent. Just look in the phone book for the PIA or Big I (Trusted Choice) logos and you will find a professional licensed agent that will be able to help you solve your insurance problems, and give you rate comparisons of several different companies. An independent insurance agent will normally have a dozen different companies and if he cannot help you, he should be networked with other local agents that can. Your local yellow pages are probably filled with ads stating "SR-22", ANY DRIVER, TICKETS? ACCIDENTS?? hey are NOT hard to find! In my agency, we have companies that specialize in issuing SR-22's and have the actual forms in house. Most of the replies on this site say "go to this on-line carrier or that on-line carrier or that 1-800 number" but I'm sure that when you do, you'll find that MOST of them are NOT going to file an SR-22 for you!
