what is the least expensive/best..1) phone service 2) car insurance 3) broadband internet service?

what is the least expensive/best... 1) phone service? I keep hearing commercials for vonage saying it is only $24.99/month for unlimited nationwide calls, but is that really the best/cheapest? Anyone know of any that are cheaper? 2) car insurance? I keep hearing that geico is the best/cheapest overall. Anyone know if this is true? 3) broadband internet service? I keep hearing commercials for netzero, which is only $9.99/month. But is that for broadband, or just dial up? Is it the cheapest? Also, one more question 4) if my father has an outstanding balance on his credit report with Verizon, will he still be able to get phone service with another company? I need to know the above because my father and I may be getting into a mobile home, and if we do I should like to have the least expensive services so we can save money. Also, I am 21 and still can't drive, but I would like to have the least expensive insurance in the event I learn to drive.

  1. The phone service and internet - go with a company that offers packages. You will get ulimited nationwide calling, caller id, call waiting etc., and high speed internet for a combined price that will be cheaper than separating the two. Especially if you could get it through your cable company, combining the three will save you a bundle. Net Zero is dial-up, yes it's cheap but the service is not great. As far as car insurance, it really depends on your driving record, the type of vehicle you will be insuring, and your deductibles and such... but I would try progressive.com, they can give you quotes and let you choose which sounds best for you. My quotes from Geico have always been too high, but that's just me. Good luck!
