Can I get auto insurance with a warrant??
I just recently got a warrant for missing my court date, it was for driving without a license...and I purchased a new vehicle which I would have to get full coverage insurance on. Will that warrant just affect the price or will they not allow me to get insurance at all??

- The warrant probably won't affect your ability to get insurance, but it sure may cost you a lot of extra money...
- It will affect the price. The only reason an insurance company would refuse to provide coverage would be for excessive accidents or DWI's. They will pull your driving record.
- You need to show that you have a valid license in order to get insurance. If the DMV suspends your license due to the warrant then your insurance company will cancel your policy once they find out. Some insurance companies don't check as well as they should so you might get away with it but I would suggest taking care of that warrant. Otherwise your insurance rates will just keep going up.
- I doubt you'll be able to insure it, the insurance company is going to check your driving record and if your license has been suspended because of the warrant, it will show up on your record. Once the suspension is lifted/cleared, your rates will be higher because of the suspension. Call your DMV, ask if a suspension is in order.
- Helloooo? anybody home? You seriously want to go to jail right? Why the heck are you buying a new car when your license is suspended? No, you will not be able to get insurance based on that.
