Car insurance prices and more- 15 year old boy?

Okay, getting my learners permit pretty soon and I'm gonna need some car insurance. My mom's family is on USAA, so I'm gonna be added on to their insurance. We have a 2000ish dodge grand caravan, 2003 vw new beetle, and a 1989 volvo station wagon that we don't use much. Anyone know about what I'd pay? Plus, my parents are divorced, so does anyone know how car insurance works if I drive my dad's cars? (1999 chevy suburban, probobly most that car, 2003 chevy tahoe, 2005 nissan pathfinder). Thanks, ya'll.

  1. It's really going to depend on the state that you're in. If your mom has an insurance agent, it would probably be a good idea to give them a call and get some accurate answers. Your rates can be determined by which car you drive, where you live, how long you've had your license, your driving record and others depending on the state. Good luck.
  2. You won't need to worry about it until such time as you have your actual license. When that happens, one of your parents will have to add you to their insurance, and it will be fairly high, but still less than you would pay without being added. Remember, good grades, no tickets, no accidents = lower rates.
  3. I think the best thing to do to have a much cheaper car insurance provider is try to search it on the net, go for online shopping so that you can collect and compare different car insurance rate. Try to visit this cheap car insurance site http://www.nightbirdssolutions.com evaluate the quotations that you have collected and choose the company that could really provide you a cheaper car insurance rate.
  4. I just replied to a similar question, basically see this http://4ym8.com/CompareInsurance.html it's one form to get a number of quotes from different insurers. It's free and a big time saver, these are all the main American insurers competing to get your business so you are bound to find something that suits you, if it works out remember my points please :)
