- to get a new car cheap negotiate with the person who is trying to sell you that car. but, you can find cars REALLY cheap at auto repo lots- those are places where they keep the cars that people couldn't pay off and sell them for a CRAZILY low price. my family just bought a 2002 dodge dakota from a repo lot for $986.00 and it was in awesome shape - repo lots also have boats - you would be suprised at what you would find there... good luck
