The average price of car insurance?
Public Comments
- There is no such thing as an avg price for insurance. It depends on too many different factors.
- For who, in what ZIP code, driving what vehicle for what purpose, with what record of tickets and accidents, what credit rating, buying or renting, and what age?
- I have seen prices from $200/yr to $10,000/yr in one state. So there is no average even in the same state. It depends on many factors - Coverages - liability only, full coverage (including collision) or liability & comprehensive. Limits of liability, medical payments, deductibles for comprehensive and collision. Car - year, make, model (2 dr, 4 dr, safety features, alarms, engine size, turbo) Driver(s) - age, sex, use (pleasure, commute [need distance one way] or business), driver training & good student for young drivers, driving record for 3 to 5 yrs. Also - claims history for 3 yrs, insurance (including credit) score, home or tenants policy with same company. So, the only way to find out what car insurance will cost is to call an agent & ask. They will ask all the appropriate questions and give you a quote.
- that's a hard one to answer it all depends on age driving record, and the vehicle your insuring,it can range from 150 bucks every 6 months ,up to 1500 bucks every 6 months, like i said it all depends on the driver and the vehicle, and age is also taken in to count on this also, good luck,i hope this help,s.
- I would guess the average price is $75 to $100 per month. It varies greatly from company to company. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.
