good car insurance price for teens?
I’m 16 and I just got my license. My dad told me the insurance agent said it’s going to cost $130. I don’t think that is including driver’s education discount and good grades discount. How much discount a month you think I’ll get and is that a good price? (I’m getting a Nissan Xterra)

- well i take it Eric means you are a guy... well we get screwed when it comes to insurance because we have to pay more. -mine is 100 a month in Ohio with good grades but if i would have got it through my mom's plan (in Indiana, where i actually live lol) it would have been 176 a month. so that rate is probably about right
- When I got my insurance it was 120 in (Alberta Canada)..... I never got a discount for Drivers Training....it only gave me like 3 years of driving "experience"...and have never heard of good grades discount.....
- That is a very good price for a new driver. Driver's training usually lowers your yearly rate by about $300. If you wish to determine what the average price is just get an online insurance quote. You can get one at http://www.auto-insurance-knowledge.com/24-hour-insurance-quote-auto.html
- considering you're under 25 and a new driver i believe $130 per month is a good deal. i started driving 5 yrs ago when i was 18. i'm a female and i lived in nys. i had to pay over $300/mo for insurance, it's not cheap. i went with esurance now and over progressive i'm saving over $1500/yr! you have no driving experience, your under 25, male and your driving a suv/truck. most insurance companies wouldn't take you because you're a huge liability. i would count your blessings. don't think your getting a fair deal go online and get some quotes you'll be surprised.
