Car insurance rates depends on Car Makes?

I have a really big issue on my hands, and that is finding a car that doesn't have a high insurance rate. What is the difference in insurance prices with different cars like BMW and Honda/ Toyota and Cadillac? Also, provide a source! plz! thnx!!

1. sure it does, the more expensive cars cost more, dollars and cents. :) get a used car and drop the collision and comprehensive for big savings :) spell check used :)
2. Insurance rates are based upon:your age tickets year make and model city you live in is it paid for or financed your credit history if it is one of the top 10 most stolen and a few other minor items.
3. Also based on how many years of experience you have as an insured driver, accidents, claims and convictions in the last 10 years (yes it can). Type of car, coverage you want and where you live.
4. Usually sporty cars are high priced insurance. They also look at your age, your driving record, area you live in by zip code, if vehicle will be garaged or street parked, if spouse will drive it, her driving record, etc... Just need to check around for the cheapest insurance.
5. Yes, they have to charge you an arm and a leg...how else can they afford to pay for the cops radar guns. Since the cops get better equipment to make the state better money, the government doesn't step in to regulate this scam of a business. Insurance companies are a joke. They want 200 dollars a month to insure a car worth 4 grand.
6. Underwriting varies from company to company so there is no solid answer here. I do know that older cars insure for less, sports and high performance cars insure for more, the color of a vehicle has NO determining factor and driving age and record always make a huge difference.
