Who provides the best price for car insurance?
Public Comments
- progressive. im 16 and just got my liscence and my insurance is going to be 325 every 3 months
- I always end up with progressive
- I would have to say that Safe Auto has the best Insurance. I have had wrecks, tickets and have been to court over traffic violations and my insurance is only 106 a month. Good Luck Hope you find some cheap insurance.
- The best thing for you to do is contact an insurance broker in your city. They will do the research for you and find the best priced insurance for you. That's what I did and I was not dissapointed. They were able to find prices that were a lot lower then the ones I had found on-line during my research.
- Most companies now do something called "segmentation" it means they have many more factors that they consider when giving someone a rate. used to be based on just a few things like gender, cost of the car, where you live etc. Now it is based on many more factors including your credit score, driving record, pay habits etc. So I'd advise you on two things: 1. Shop around, no one company offers the best rate. There are literally (no exageration) some one billion different rates that one could get based on all of the factors that different companies use. 2. I'll fully disclose that I work for an insurance company. I won't tell you which to go to specfically since you will think I'm just pushing my company. But please thing of these things; Ask what their A.M. Best rating is, the higher the more financially secure the company is. A.M Best has a web site you can access to understand the simple rating system. Stick to the larger companies, they tend to have the best claims service. Allstate, Geico, Nationwide, Progressive, State Farm. (I did that alphabetically so you won't think I'm pushing my company cause I'm not) Ask if they can offer you other insurance for you like life, homeowners/renters, etc. Always best to have your policies with one company cause they will give you discounts and they will be more tolerent of you if you have an accident. Lastly, don't just look at price. Most insurance policies are the same and no one likes to pay for insurance so often they go for the least price but remember you are buying a promise to be there in case of an accident. Don't trust that to the cheapest carrier. That is also another reason why you should go with a larger and more financially stable company. Sorry about the long answer but the decision is more important than most people think.
