Best car insurance company?

I am 23 and been driving for 5 years and my wife is 24 and has just passed her test. I want a car with me as the main driver and my wife as the secondary driver. I dont have any no claims bonus, as I myself have been a secondary driver for the past 5 years

  1. seriously, try confused.com, they were ace at helping me get the right insurance, ended up with swiftcover.com, who were fab. good luck!
  2. I would have to say Drive from Progressive. I am only 19 so I had to research extensively to find affordable car insurance for someone my age and i have collision coverage for 150 a month and that's a bargain. You might even be cheaper because you're older and have more driving experience. However, because your wife just passes her test I'm sure they will tack on something extra because she hasn't had a license for long. Hope this helps
  3. confused.com is rubbish the cheapest they found for me was 358 and when i went directly on to elephant.co.uk they quoted me 311 (sorry my pound sign isn't working lol!) so i would just go each individual website.
  4. Try confused.com and http://www.moneysupermarket.com/insurance/ And Quinn Direct are cheap.. Hope this helps
  5. Even though I have been driving for over forty years with out a claim I still sit on the phone ringing lots of insurance companies every time my renewal is due. Its amazing what money I can save by changing insurance companies if some one else is cheaper. Always tell them you have a better quote from someone else. Be prepared to spend time to find the cheapest
  6. Price is one thing you can research pretty easily on the 'net. Service is not so easy, I am insured with Wawanesa not because they offered the lowest price, but because I could talk to a real person.(not so easy with some) I also found out to my surprise that they are the the only company that will pay a claim for a stolen car ,if you leave it with the engine running. And they paid a resonable price for that stolen car. I am happy.
  7. Different companies have different terms and coditions so it's all depends on your choice To know more visit http://newinsurancetips.blogspot.com
  8. I would suggest moneysupermarket http://www.moneysupermarket.com/motor/ they check all the companies, and you can find quotes with another driver added to the insurance
