Where to buy cheap auto insurance?
Im 19 years old and I have had my license for about a year. I have no speeding tickets and have never been in a wreck. My driving record is picture perfect. I have been driving my moms car and she has had me under her insurance so it was really cheap. But Im getting ready to buy an 06' Chevy Colbat and where I am buying it off a car lot, she cant afford to put me under her name on insurance, becuase I will have to get full coverage as where as before I had liability. Is there a place in WV or somewhere online that offers reasonable prices on full coverage insurance for someone of my age. My mom is telling me my insurance is going to be about as much as my car payment. Is there any way to get it lower? I need a cheap place for insurance! Thnks.

- you don't want cheap ins. besides there is no cheap insurance
- TRAVELERS IS PRETTY CHEAP AND WE HAVE FULL COVERAGE.
- I would try Progressive Insurance for a quote, that is if they write in your state. Try someone as well that is an independent agent. Independents write for mutliple companies and they will find you the best rate for your situation. Good luck
- Look in the phone book for an "independent insurance agent", as opposed to something like State Farm or All State. They can put together and sell all kinds of policies for all kinds of drivers, including young drivers. I can't believe the insurance premium will be as much as a car payment, unless you've got a really low car payment.
- i heard geico is really cheap.. but I have full coverage for my car that I bought off a car dealership too with state farm and it costs me about $179.89 a month plus my car payment of $224.01 a month so its not so bad.
- She is right, but if you are going to pay the premium why doesn't she give you a shot at paying your portion on her bill. Like keeping you and the 06 on her policy but asking them to itemize the breakdown for her than you just be sure to pay her your portion. If not you are just going to have to move up the ladder the hard way, try maybe farmers or geico. Good luck, keep your record clean and most insurance companies are starting to use credit so keep that in mind. Id just get quotes from everywhere, if you go to insureme a bunch of insurance companies should call you and offer you a rate. You could also ask where your mom is, and also ask her if she wants to look for the best rate.
- Untrin Direct is the best choice I would say, My mom, dad fiance and I all have it and we got very low prices on it. Me and my fiance are 21 and we are financing 2 vehicles with full coverage. I have had like 3 tickets the past three years and he's had 2 and my mom also had one and we still got really good prices. Monthly I pay about $110 and they pay a little less than me. You have a better driving record than us but you are a little younger so it might be around what I'm paying. If you decide to get a quote from them, go through a third party not directly through their website. For some reason they charge you higher. The website is www.insurance.com I think you might be able to get a good deal with them, they also have other companies that might even be cheaper. Once you enter your info it will give you quotes from different companies
- I am with state farm just a little ways from you. My auto insurance is cheap but Im older. For my son (17) it is 111.00 per month for liability. For my daughter it is 56.00 per month and she is (17) they both have their own policies. Might I recommend going with a later model vehicle, with an extended warranty. If you can pay cash for the car that would be great, it allows you the flexability on insurance. Also you get discounts for grades and drivers ed ect, ect. Know this when buying a car. IF you buy a car for 10k and it books for 8k your insurance comp will only pay the 8k this will make you liable for the other 2k. So buy a cheaper car if you can is my advise to you.. good luck dear d
- The insurance companies have algorithms that use hundreds of factors when determining your rate. It's best to get several rates from many companies.

- No doubt the easiest way to get insurance quotes is on the web. Why would you waste your time on the phone calling around? the last time i needed quotes on insurance i used one of these comparison sites and it was great. this is the site i used and it was quick like less than 5 mins. The last thing I want to do is listen to elevator music while waiting for a salesman. Anyway I got good quotes and ended up saving money so I was happy. So shop around and compare quotes which is easy on the net. Good starting point is at this site. http://insurance.deal4-you.com Good luck.
