When leasing a car, how much does one usually pay for "GAP" insurance, if it not included in payment?

Thinking about leasing a Toyota Camry LE (sale price 19,200.00) for 3 years. I'm wondering what others have paid for "GAP" insurance on similarly priced, leased, autos, or on any priced autos. My auto insurance company does not provide "GAP" insurance. Hope this is clear. Thanks.

  1. They added it into my monthly payment. For a $14,000 car, I think I pay $11 extra a month. Hope that helps. :)
  2. Gap insurance is almost as expensive as Old navy insurance. I think. that`s why I prefer abercrumbie
  3. 100dolars
  4. My car was 21,000 and I believe I paid between 700 and 1000 for gap insurance.
  5. Check with the leasing company. Many leasing companies provide gap at no additional cost on a lease.
  6. This will depend on your State. Indiana for instance mandates gap to be sold at $399. No more, no less. Even if an employee purchases the car, it's $399.
  7. No doubt the easiest way to get insurance quotes is on the web. Why would you waste your time on the phone calling around? the last time i needed quotes on insurance i used one of these comparison sites and it was great. this is the site i used and it was quick like less than 5 mins. The last thing I want to do is listen to elevator music while waiting for a salesman. Anyway I got good quotes and ended up saving money so I was happy. So shop around and compare quotes which is easy on the net. Good starting point is at this site. http://insurance.deal4-you.com Good luck.
