Which auto insurance company is the best deal?

I am looking for the best deal on car insurance. Don't just tell me that whatever company you have is best. I want to know why. Did you make a claim and have really good service? Are the prices much lower than others? Do you get a good discount for being a good driver, or combining with other insurance (such as renters)? Car: 2006 Civic EX, Location: 92126 How about Geico? Has anyone had experience with them?

2. We swear by Progressive, quick to respond in case of emergency, Pay off quick for wrecks and damages, and have certified repair stations.
3. Over the years i have insured with several different carriers. As far as the best rates i've been able to find i would have to say my present insurer is the best on rates. Shelter Ins, Co. beat my last policy with American Family by half of what i was paying for the exact same coverage. I haven't had a claim with them so i can't give an honest answer on that part.
4. I have AAA, and I have used there roadside service for flats, and I have used them for 2 accidents, I did the work myself, and I have never heard of a complaint from that office. They are sort of expensive for 1 car, but I get a multi car discount, I also have my home insured and my auto shop. There are a lot of benifits to being a AAA member, like hotel discounts, safe driver rewards, and of course that cool chrome sticker.
5. All auto insurance companies have different rates and programs depending upon your age, driving record, marital status. I personally have found that most of the programs offered through independent agents offer greater levels coverage and service than do Captive agents (State Farm, Allstate, American Family, etc.). I was recently in an accident with a person insured by Progressive, and was amazed by the quality and level of service they provided - and I'm an insurance agent! Find an Independent Insurance Agent in your area, and they can shop the best deal for you.
6. I have Esurance for many years. It is just really convenient and the price (when I started the plan) was cheaper than Geico's. For further discounts, check if there is any promotions/discounts on SearchAllDeals.
