What are tips on getting the cheapest car insurance?

...like I think you are suppose to have $1000 as opposed to $500 or $5000... I have a good driving record and I recently bought a house (so I'll probably have my house insurance with the same company)

The name of the company is ALFA thats the correct spelling i am 39 and am a truck driver with a great driving record...YET i just recieved the cheapest insurance price ever! i have a 2005 jeep and carry full coverage.....Alpha is the name of the company........i asked for the cheapest and thats what they gave me.......the laws vary from state to state.......but....the companies name is the same!!
