whats the cheapest car insruance company for a 17 year old, the cheapest is "ecar" that i have found

1. Try confused .com . I just got my renewal from my insurance but decided to do a search and I managed to get a better quote with another company £60 less.
2. Use a comparison site like "moneysupermarket" I use it every year & it comes up with the best available offers at the time.
3. Who knows, do they even know? I've had two letter-quotes from MoreThan over the past two days (renewal due in October seems like every insurance company knows, how anyone can claim they forget is beyond me!) one £100 more than the other, both have different brake down costs, though all the other information 100% correct. Haggle, best advice, bluff it all the way and push for as much as you can get, don't take the quote, ask for more, ask for less.
4. not only do you have to use compare sites,, like confused, ecar or gocompare, to compare the companies themselves, but then you need to ensure that all the sites are comapared against each other to find the cheapest among them. i found norwich union the cheapest for me but it was cheaper on gocompare than it was on confused.com. you can add a parent or more experienced driver to your insurance and it will cut the price of yours, plus buy a car with a small engine to keep the costs down
5. try sainsburys i saved £350 pound with them
6. swinton was my best quote this year (my first year 1.4 sri 16v corsa £600)
7. I'd definately use a comparison site will help you find a good quote and insurer :) try someone like moneysupermarket had some good quotes with them :)
