Best Cost Car Insurance

I want a relatively low cost, cheap to run, small engined 4x4 any suggestions?

Engine size should be no more than 1.8 (for insurance purposes), fuel consumption would be nice around the 30mpg mark and cost under £10,000. UK cars only thanks peeps

1. Suzuki jimmny (jimny?) or whatever it's called is not bad when new. Rav 4 by toyota is a touch more expensive, but then, it is a toyota and you get a better build quality with it.
2. i have a suzuki grand vitara sport (soft top) 1.8 engine , fuel is round about 30mpg, i bought mine 2 years ago, its was 9months old, i paid £6.500 - its done me very well indeed - its has been my 3rd suzuki 4x4

6. i know someone whos got a freelander, 1.8 petrol. nice car, and its a land rover. personally go for a toyota, yes, theyre japanese, but the ins is far lower than you think. (fully comp 275) for a 4x4 people mover.

8. if yer lookin to be usein it off road you can't go far wrong with a Suzuki sj 410/413. fun to drive an cheap an cheerfull, the jimmny if you've got more to spend. and if your not bothered about proper off road stuff, you pays your money and takes your pick. (don't go near a vitara if you want to off road, standard gearing all wrong)
9. Diahatsu terious 1.3 or 1.5(with toyota engine and running gear) however not sure if its built in the uk plant or not...but im looking for one and i hope its built in japan....
