  1. It doesnt
  2. cost of the paint
  3. I don't think it does , If your insurance co, will charge you for the paint better find another one hope this helps
  4. Color plays NO part in cost of insuring an automobile. This is an urban myth that has been around for thirty years.
  5. Most insurance companies do not determine the cost of insurance on the color of the vehicle. Those that do state that black is harder to repaint after any repairs and some shops charge more for a black paint job due to the increased labor time. Find a better insurance company.
  6. Never heard of that. Is this something your insurance company told you, or just something you heard from someone else? If it's the insurance company saying it, check with another company, because there shouldn't be any difference.
  7. It doesn't. Just another myth. My insurance company doesn't ask that question.
  8. Oh darn. All these years I've had it wrong. I thought the red cars cost more to insure, so I kept buying the 'cheaper' black cars.
  9. it doesnt!! you give important details like reg, address, engine size, modifications, driver details etc. the insurance company doesnt usually ask about colours!!
  10. i think someones having you over!!!
  11. I've never heard of that one but thought of a couple of possibilities. Black is the worst colour on a car for showing up any imperfections like scratches or dents which may mean that more owners of black cars may claim for paint damage which wouldn't necessarily be noticed on a different coloured car. Or it could simply be a numbers issue, black cars may be stolen more than any other but basically I've no idea, good luck.
  12. Old Henery only made black cars.... later only black cars were hearses..... Now everybody cept me wants one......
  13. It doesn't. Insurance companies don't even ask the color of a vehicle.
  14. I dont think so if the color of the car can affect the insurance premium. All i know is that sex, age, place youre resided, and driving experience, etc. could surely affect on your premium. 15. It doesn't. Color has no affect on insurance.
  16. IT CAN COST MORE DEPENDING ON THE INSURANCE COMPANY BECAUSE SOME COMPANY'S DEEM THAT BLACK CARS ARE MORE DIFFICULT TO SEE ON THE ROAD UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, EXP( DULL OR CLOUDY OR RAINY DAYS). ITS REALY ONLY ANOTHER EXCUSE TO GET MORE MONEY OUT OF YOU.
  17. This is not true. I have never been asked the color of my car. Have you? Auto insurance companies use many questions factors to calculate insurance cost, but color isn't one that I am aware of.
  18. It doesn't, Urban Myth.
  19. Supposedly, its statistically more likely to be involved in an accident at night because its more difficult to see. For instance, if its parked on the side of a road with no lights on its more difficult to see than a white or silver car.
  20. Why did you remove your last question about how you hate feminists? What has it got to do with you whether not women work. It said that you removed it (not yahoo) why was that then? I guess you got told, that's why you took the question off. I hope you have learned to grow up.
