** How much does car insurance cost for a 16-year-old in California?
Grr. I REALLY need to drive inorder to get home after sports, but my dad says that insurance costs too much... and I'm not about to walk home or take the bus when it's late. There are so many weird people and molesters out there. ='( I have a crappy car, it's as old as me.

- It will depend on where you live, what car you would drive, and what insurance company you use. I can call up three different insurance companies as an adult and get three different quotes that are not very similar.
- Well depends on the car. If the car is brand new, insurance can go from 4,000 - 6,000. Then again I'm not really sure because thats what the dealer told me when buying an 08 scion tc.
- No matter what kind of car or it's age. insurance for a 16 year old will cost a pretty penny
- well good luck to you..maybe you can hire for a agent to assist you on this matter and get some advice..you can check my source to compare all those leading insurance provider..and get the best one for you..good luck..
- BETWEEN $2000.00 TO $3500.00 A YEAR.
- It will be over $2500 a month probably. This will depend on what type of car you have as well. The best way to find out would be to get an online insurance quote. This will compare all companies in Cali, and find you the ones that offer you the lowest prices. - For the minimum state requirements of 15/30/5 liability coverage for a 16 yr old female driver with no tickets or accidents, you should expect to pay approx $1083 for the year. (roughly $100 a month). There are plenty of insurance companies available that cater to young or newly licensed drivers that WANT your business and have very competitive premiums. Naturally if you raise your limits of coverage or add additional coverage, you premium will increase as well, but 15/30/5 is all that is required to be legal to drive in California and is a starting point in determining what you can afford to pay for your insurance coverage. Hope this helps and best of luck to you!
