which is the best car insurance in uk, cost wise and service wise.?
Public Comments
- more than are very good
- I'm with Budget and they were brill when my car was broken into. i was with Churchill and they were very good, but they couldn't match the quote from Budget. And check out www.confused.com for best prices (but don't necessarily go for the CHEAPEST!)
- you're probably not going to like my answer but it does depend on the details, obviously they consider age, type of car, how long you've been driving, claims etc and this will vary and so will the price depending on where you go to. Best bet is finding a website that checks loads of insurance companies and gives you the quotes from there.
- You are best off trying an insurance broker. They deal with lots of different insurers and will know which insurer is trying to attract people of your age and profile.
- if you go onto the confused website then it will give u the best price of different compaines abd reviews on what people think. good luck
- Churchills take some beating for all round performance.
- first paul e is wrong insurance brokers go to the one with the best commision rates so he is a dumpling. I have always found direct line very good
- Looyds are very good, got mine from a link here http://motorcars.ebookorama.com/car-insurance.php
- try the post office cheap as chips mine dropped over £100 if you are doing it on monthly, deposit then 10 monthly payments.
- There are a lot of companies out there.. I found Churchill to be really good - esp online... they give you a good online discount. I found a great little site that has a lot of usefu info - http://adrian-flux-cheap-car-insurance.blogspot.com My friend told me about it - seems to give you the best providers and deals... hope this is useful!
- cheapest one i found was liverpool&victoria
- I would go to an insurance broker - there are some (ignorant) negative comments about them but: a) They are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. b) They act as your agent when recommending which policy you should have and give you reasons for having it. Ask them what you want and they will provide it - if you go direct you are on your own. c) If you have any problems or queries they are there to help you. This can be very important if you need to make a claim. d) Yes they are paid a commission by the insurance company - they must make a living - but the FSA have imposed strict guidelines about avoiding any conflict of interest. This commission is about 10% of the premium from which they must pay all costs of the business. e) Is commission a bad word? How much of your money do you think a company like Direct Line or Churchill is spending advertising their (not so good) policies? f) Insurance is a specialist product - only a fool or an expert should buy insurance online. g) And finally - if they make a balls-up of your cover you will find they have professional indemnity insurance which will recompense you - if you make a balls up you're on your own!
