What car insurance suits me best?

i am going to be in san diego during the fall quarter, from august to december. i am a 21 years old italian male with three years of driving experience and no accidents in the past. i only have the italian passport. is there any way that i can keep both my kidneys and still be able to pay an insurance for that period? does it necessarily depend on the car? thank you very much folks!!!

The car you drive will mainly impact the Comprehensive and Collision coverages, which are not required by law, but will repair your car if you had an accident and it was your fault. If you will be driving a newer and/or nicer car, then you will want this coverage. Otherwise, just stick with liability only. This covers any damages you cause to someone else and IS required by the law. It's much cheaper, but you are responsible for repairing your own car, if you cause an accident.
