Can your car insurance company raise your rates because your car is no longer new?

My insurance company raised my monthly bill by $30 because my car is no longer "new". They said I received a new car discount when I first signed up for the insurance and now that my car is 4 years old I no longer get the discount. Is this True at all? It seems like bull to me, and even so 4 years is an odd number to declare a car old you would think it would be 5. Am I crazy?

  1. When I go looking for replacement car insurance is a no brainer way to save a ton of money. You can get a quick estimate at websites they most often give you competing quotes. I tell my friends about http://www.LowRateToday.com
  2. I would imagine rates would be higher for a brand new car.
