Best insurance for a 2006 car??

Hi All: Am planning to buy a used 2006 car with 30k miles. My driving history is short(abt 2 yrs - i dinn really need a car till now).My wife has abt 9 yrs.(her driv. history is not clean - speeding and cpl of minor acidents).I am planning to switch her insurance to mine.So we wud have two cars(her car has 94k) under the new plan.I got a cpl of quotes one was for 1700 another for 900 - both for 6 months.Is this around the best rate i can get? Appreciate all the help in deciding which insurance plan to go for. Thanks all.i decided to go with geico.i compared a few other quotes.nuthing came close to the one geico gave..really 15 mins(more than that) saved me some on car insurance!

Dont go for the cheapest - the difference is hardly more than 200 rupees. go for the more functional one.
