Where can I find info that explains why student car insurance rates are higher?

Public Comments

  1. I don't know what to say.So why are you asking again & again
  2. Student (younger driver) rates are higher because numbers of accidents and incidents are higher with younger drivers. More risk equals more money paid for premiums. When a driver turns 25 years old and is accident free, the rate drops signifigantly. Any auto insurance website should contain this information.
  3. It's because student drivers are more accident prone.
  4. not sure where you can find the info but I can tell you why if that's what your wondering...Experience and common sense, most younger drivers don't have either... not all but alot do, I know this is going to make alot of people mad but I was there once also and know that I look back I realize how stupid I once was...sorry If I offended anyone...
  5. Contact an insurance sales agent so you can get the full details on this. Generally your insurance will drop after you reached the age of 25.
  6. because they are inexperienced drivers and have the most wrecks, ask your agent
  7. Of all the accidents that are recorded, almost half are from younger drivers and another almost half are from older drivers (at least when it comes to fatalities) The very large middle is the safest and cheapest to insure because of it.
  8. I don't know where you can find said info, however my experience and common sense knows that.... A. Because you are so young and not had much experience driving, you are a greater risk then someone that has been driving a few years. B.Basically Insurance rates are based on factors, risk factors. The factors of a insurance premium are...your age, whether you are male or female, any violations you've had, where you live and the type of car you drive and the coverage you want. You have to look at it this way, the less experience you have driving, the higher the risk you are to a insurance company. You would/could cause a accident faster then someone whom has been driving for a few years and can prevent a accident. So there is a greater chance of you costing them money then someone whom has had experience driving.
