Does having a motorcycle license effect your car insurance rates?

I've been looking at taking the course, wondering if theres any other implications I havent considered. Anyone have some experience with this? Assume I'll have my motorcycle endorsement on my license, but not own a motorcycle. I live in RI, by the way.

1. nope but if you owned a bike and insured it, if it was the same policy as the car insurance, you would get a multi vehicle discount.
2. Hasn't affected our policy rates, my husband and I both got our motorcycle licenses 3 years ago. A bike is a lot different in the way it handles, and in the situations you can find yourself in with traffic. You can't relax your attention at all. Good luck, have fun, and be careful.

4. Sure it would, it would be like adding a sports car to your policy, the insurance company will consider this a high risk and they will lower it somewhat depending on the years of experience you have.
