what is the cheapest car insurance for me?

i am 18, had a DWI in dec 2006 what would be the cheapest liability only car insurance for me? thank you

1. The cheapest insurance you will be able to find would be through an "Independent insurance agent". The reason why is he/she can represent more than just a few companies and compare your scenario with more than just one company unlike a nonindependent rep. would be able to do at a very large company. I know a lot of big Company's will tell you they are comparing with their competition and will tell you the other co. is the better deal, if they find out so...but really...are we that naive? I don't think so. Another old way is to get a quote from a company over the fax. Save the form from that company with all your info on it and white out the company's name and rates then re-fax the form to another company and ask them to fill in the rate amounts with your info already on the page. This will save you a lot of repetitious repeats of the same info to one company after another. Don't forget the other value. Just because a company is the least expensive, make sure its one that pays when it counts, when you really need them in an accident. Check with the BBB and other resources. A less expensive company has NO value if it won't protect you! Hope this helps....
