Average car insurance rates for people under 21 years old?

This is for an argument paper I am doing. If you will, please just give me a numerical amount. This can be broken in to male/female and 16-17/18-21. If possible.

1. It all depends on your age, sex, marital status, if you have any children, do you receive good grades, have you been in any accidents or received any traffic tickets. All of these things, plus I am sure a lot more, will adjust your rate either up or down. Check out some one-line sources that offer free quotes, progressive or gieco, or just sit down with a phone book and call some reputable insurance agents and they will also offer you a free quote. You will need your license # and VIN # for your vehicle.
2. I'm a female, 20, driving a 2005 Ford Focus ZX3. I've been driving less than two years. I have comprehensive insurance because the car is still financed, but I have the minimum required insurance otherwise for California. I have 21st Century Insurance. I pay $1,200 every six months.
