When Changing car insurance company, do they ask me to go through inspection on my vehicle?
I'm thinking about changing my car insurance company soon. I will probably go to online to get a quote and the insurance.

- No, you just need a registered and inspected vehicle. It should already be both of these if you are driving it.
- After I got a new car and insured it with comprehensive and liability, they did a simple walk-around visual of the car just to make sure there was no visible signs of a previous accident. I had a pretty good sized bump in one fender and pointed it out, and she took a picture and wrote it down. Will not affect how they pay for any other collision.
- ask the insurance company
- The purpose of the vehicle inpsection is to ensure there is not prior damage you are tyring to have covered through them. Chances are they are going to require an inspection. Some companies are willing to take a "no loss" declaration but not many. Most often you can go to any office that is near you and they can fax the inspection to your agent.
- Emily B, There are tons of places where you can get a free insurance quote. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Auto-Insurance.html It only takes 5 minutes to do.
- It seems a not easy cracking nut, look around here http://www.Autoinsurancepro.info/auto-insurance-free.htm ,you should find something helpful.
- For automobile insurance the most efficient way to get a great rate is do a policy comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you compare similar policies with the same limits, car model, location, etc so that all options are a good comparison. What I always recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have big name insurers and can give several prices on auto insurance polices.
- If you need or want collision coverage, they will ask for photos of the vehicle from both sides straight on, front and rear straight on and three-quarter views from every corner. Therefore, you're better off telling them about any damage on the car. That way, they protect themselves from spurious claims for pre-existing damage. A site I've recommended in the past would be... http://insurance.123thebest.info/ Hope that helps.
