What would be a good choice for a first car?

Hey, i am 17 and live in england. What would be a good choice for my first car? I need low insurance cost, and not a expensive price for the car. What would you advise? I don't want to look like a idiot, would preffer a "bad boy" looking car, that also sounds/looks good. Thanks!

6. well im not sure what kind of cars they have in englend, but a 1966 or 67 buick skylark, or special, or grand sport would look bad ass. i dont know what your price limit is. but if you can find one, it looks just like a chevelle, but over half the price. you could most likely find one practically restored for 5 or 6 grand, and it will slip under the radar insurance wise because its a buick
