How much does car insurance cost each month and what are the low cost and good car insurances around?

And how much can 1 gallon of gas take you on an average car? I mean how many blocks and 1 gallon of gas takes you? What other things you have to pay for having a car? What about on average? How much do you spend on car repairs on average each month/year?

  1. a gallon of gas will probably take you less than 20 miles
  2. You do realize different cars have different motors an parts which leads to different gallons of gas used up over a certain amount of traveling. Also car insurance is affected by the type of vehicle, and the make.
  3. 1 gallon probably about 20 miles... depends on your car though.. insurance.. pregressive is good... for cost it depends on age, driving history... etc. my husband is 26 and for 2 cars its $600 for 6 months... for me... I'm 19 for one car its $254 for 1 month.. you'll have to pay for the oil to be changed.. and anything that might go wrong with the car... tires eventually will have to be replaced..
  4. when you see 'low cost' and 'good' in the same sentence with 'car insurance' there usually is a catch. In my state, PA, , 'low cost' means state minimum,, i usually pay about $100 a month. That gets me the paperwork i need to drive without being towed away for DWI. but that's minimum coverage allowed by law. for the type of coverage that allows you to collect claims, and get loaner vehicles and roadside service, and theft protection, that stuff costs more. much more. Even though 1 gallon of gas could move the car 20 miles, i don't suggest you try driving around in a car with just one gallon in the tank. Cars are like kids: just when you think you've got everything covered and done, something else comes up..and it makes no difference if the car is brand new, right from the dealer, or a used junker from Greasy's DIY shop. Cars have an uncanny symbiotic relationship with their owners; they sense when you're money is low or tied up elsewhere, then they break down. before you even roll down the block: you'll need insurance, a license, registration for the vehicle and tags..alll money items. The vehicle may be up for inspection, and that costs money. Anything you need fixed on it to pass inspection costs money., like the exhaust or catalytic converter for emissions problems, lights, brakes. brakes need to be kept up. brake pads, shoes rotors, all cost money. For no reason the car won't start or cuts off, and you have to pay for a tow to a garage. ..you have to pay the mechanic just to look at it to see what is wrong...you have to pay to have it fixed. Todays' cars have a lot of it's functions run by computer, and the chips and sensors onboard fail..you have to pay for those parts. with car repairs, the big expense is labor charges. Although the part may cost $25 for the mechanic to buy from a parts shop or from the dealer, the labor fees can be around $60/hr or more. Cars are , or can be, an expensive proposition.
  5. Insurance prices are based on a number of factors. Year, make and model of car, for example. There are also a number of personal factors, such as driver age, address, years of experience, etc. You need to contact an insurance agent for an accurate quote. Any figure you get here would only be a guess.
  6. A middle aged person with 5 years no claim bonus living in the country on a corolla should pay about $50 for liability only. Maybe $80 for fully comprehensive. The best insurance price can be found by checking out the comparison sites, this is a good one http://best-american-insurers-free-comparison.servicesarticles.com/a/1.html?id=d339 and also http://www.bestinternetfind.solutionsarticles.com/carquote.php?id=89eh those two will return quotes from all the main US insurers. A mustang might do 20 highway miles with a gallon, a lowly corolla should do double that. In town consumption might be about 20% less for both vehicles. As per car repairs, it depends on the car, who is driving it and how they are driving it. Some people are always paying money, some others seem to get away without ever spending much.
