What is the cheapest car insurance you could find in your opinion?
...I have the feeling Geico is going to come up, I said 'cheapest'
Public Comments
- Farmers
- Geico is far from the cheapest! I have country mutual. I have insurance on 3 vehicles and my house there check out countryfinancial.com
- RBC insurance is often the least expensive when it comes to new drivers or experienced drivers. However, for motorcycle insurance, you must be over 25 to insure a bike with them and they do not insure farm vehicles.
- Progressive
- Nothing is cheap as far as insurance is concerned. There are several factor that will come into play, your living location, type of vehicle , your credit score, age, miles driven per year, use for work or business or pleasure, safety features on the car (air bags, anti - theft and such), if it is kept on the street, yard or garage and your driving record. If you are looking for a cheap insurance policy, you just have to keep looking until you find one that suits your budget. If it is cheap the first year that's ok, but the second year premiums will go up because they have to re-coup losses they had to pay out on their other policy holders. And if you have too many claims, you are dropped!
- The cheapest is the one that costs less money. Since each insurer will look at each case differently, the only way to find out the one that costs less money for each one of us is to get on the internet, find insurance comparison sites, enter your details, hit the big go button and get your 5 or 10 quotes depending on the site. Then you can look at those 5 or 10 quotes and you will know " the cheapest car insurance you could find " out of those 5 or ten insurers. If you then want to carry on and check out another site, repeat what I said above but this time do it somewhere else and chances are that you will now get quotes from some new insurers. You can now look at those 5 or 10 quotes and you will know " the cheapest car insurance you could find " out of this lot that came from the two comparison sites. You can carry on getting quoted like this for a couple of hours until you will come to a point where you know what the cheapest car insurance you could find IS. This is what I do and I do it every time I have to renew as prices change constantly and I often change insurer as I save money. As to your Q, I don't know who my current insurer is as I don't have the credit card statement with me. All I know is that they are registered with the BBB and charge me about $40 per month and that's the cheapest I have found. That's it.
- the way I do it is I wait till I am due for renewal then I shop around and when I find the cheapest quote I ask my insurers if they can match it, if they cannot then I do not renew and go with the new guys. If you check out a good comparison site you get to save much time as the site will provide quotes from all main insurers. Here's some sites you can get quotes from: http://get-smart-about-motorcars.moneysavecenter.com/car-insurance.php?id=433 http://finance.ebookorama.com/ukusa-selected-resources.php?id=433 there's more in google, they are all free and can be fun checking different insurers as they all have different prices.
