7. Total means that it costs more to repair the car than it is worth. I think most any company would be talking "new" car. I have Nationwide and am happy with them but never had to make a claim. Also had GEICO (before they had the talking gekko) and they are good but they take only the best drivers. They are selective about whom they insure but their rates are low.
8. Across the board ask any insurance agent, USAA. But they have guidlines who may and may not be insured with them, they are military based. I did see a commercial about replacing a car. I meant to call and ask, it cant be that easy at all. Im sure its great when your paying the minimums and have a car in their guidlines to do that deal.
9. sorry to be mean, but horrible question!!!! Asking someone else this question is bad. You gotta get quotes and know what each can offer you from all car insurance companies you're interested in. Commercials are cool, but get online pick say 5 - 7 companies, pen and paper, know what you want, get quotes, and decide if later on you don't like your decesion, well then, change companies. It's a little work, but worth it.
