Firstly I'd like to say that I am from the UK so any help from people who know policies etc from the UK would be greatly appreciated! Secondly, before anyone calls me an A*S for being so stupid, I know that having over 5 driving convictions at 22 is ridiculous but believe me I have learned from my mistakes. OK, so when I was younger I managed to get myself into trouble a few times with driving. The first occurred in 2004 and I am aware that this should be forgotten about (at least by the insurers) this year. In total I have 8 convictions for various things, the worst of which is drink driving in 2007. Now my question is: On price comparison websites such as money supermarket/ confused.com etc I am asked to input my 5 most recent convictions. Obviously my driving record will be completely different and to be honest if I was going to be providing insurance for a driver I would not even look at someone with 8 convictions. Will the quote that I got on the site be different after my details are passed from the comparison website to the provider? will the provider look at my record and adjust it/ deny it after seeing that I have 3 additional convictions? Cheers for your time and understanding.
