Is There A Way Of Finding Insurance Prices Without Owning A Car In The First Place?
Ok ill explain it better here. I'm after a car but i will need to know how much the insurance is for different cars. So for example if i wanted a car in insurance group 2, could i find out how much that specific car and insurance group would be for me? I know there's go-compare and all the other comparison websites but they are expecting you already have the car and just need to insure it. I need to know the prices before i get a car so i know i will have enough! Help please? Cheers

- I would just find a car website, select which ever one is the group you want to check. Then just put in the details of the car, you wont need to give registration. Just make model, engine size etc. I always do it.
- auto trader is the best to give you quotes even if you dont have the car yet
- The online sites don't require you to already own the car you're getting a quote for. You don't even have to know the registration.
- Matt is dead right- I did it last year with Esure. I was not sure of the exact model- it was one of two- so I put in the higher spec: this was to ensure that I knew what the higher price would be if it was that model. They will keep your quote open for 28 days.
- call any insurance company with name and year of any car and they can tell you what it will cost to get it... make a phone call you dont have to say much ask question like hi my name is and i want to know how much it cost to get insurance on a dont have to own a car to know what it cost

- Legend Killer, For auto insurance the quickest method to get a low quote is do a auto policy comparison. Be sure to choose the same coverage levels, you can get an accurate quote to compare against others. Use the same zip code, car make and model, mileage and driving history to ensure you get accurate comparison. To get fast auto insurance quotes, go to http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Auto-Insurance.html and you can compare all the major auto insurance companies.
- I think - you can compare insurance quotes for different cars before buying one, for example here - car-insurance.22web.net
