  1. Do you have family member who has been an officer in the Armed Forces? If yes USAA is the best. I got in because of my Dad. If yes give them a call. If not, I can't help you. Sorry.
  2. This to some degree is an opinion question, if you take it from a cost standpoint or a benefits/service standpoint. From a cost standpoint, its tough because different companies evaluate risks differently (so one company may give a better rate to someone in say California than another company). You generally get a better rate if you combine both auto/home insurance with one company. In many states, the insurance co's do a credit check, and some discount the rates more for people with better credit than others, just depends on the company. Personally, I prefer USAA (but unless you are military or your spouse or parent(s) were) you are not eligible. From a service standpoint (price not factored in) I would consider a State Farm probably, but much of that experience depends on your local agent. Country insurance and Farmers are reliable, solid companies-but don't always compete as much on price, instead more service heavy sacrificing price.
  3. Best for me, or best for you? Best varies. It's like, what's the best pair of jeans. Not all companies write in all states. That's why it's important to have a LOCAL agent, who knows the local options, can ask you tons of questions, to figure out what the best company is FOR YOU, in your area.
  4. based upon your situation,I believe that you might find something helpful here http://www.AutoInsuranceIdeas.info/auto-insurance-free.htm.
  5. There are simply too many good companies to say one is the best. In fact which company is the best for me or someone else may not be the best for you based on where you live, age, desired coverage, type of home or car, etc, etc. I would suggest getting quotes from several companies and then making a decision on things such as: the company's A.M. Best Rating, price, coverages being offered, is there a local agent, etc. There are several great sites that you can fill out secure quote requests and then they will match you with companies and agents who do business in your area. Some of the better free on line sites are: NetQuote ( http://www.netquote1.org ) InsureMe ( http://www.lnsureme.com ) Geico ( http://www.geico-ins.com )
  6. This deserves some personal attention for you to find the right answer. Alot of people think USAA is the best because they have the idea that it's the cheapest. At our agency in Utah, we have rewritten quite a few USAA policies, lowering price and improving coverage. Although USAA is typically a very good option if you qualify. So my advice is to talk to a local agent and find out what they have to say about the options available to you locally. Go through your concerns and what's important to you and see what they say about the companies they represent. They should be able to point you in the right direction. You can contact a local agent by filling out the short form at http://www.myinsurancequotes.net. I hope that helps! 7. There is no 'best' because if there were there would only be one company. Find a broker who can show you multiple companies and find the 'best' for you.
