I am 19 years old and live in Michigan and lookin for cheap auto insurance?

does any one know were i can get some cheap low budget auto insurance I live in the inner city of detroit and the car is in my name, looking for some alternatives from big names like AAA, progressive ETC. please help money is tit i cant afford $500 a month for auto insurance- prices i got already

1. I've seen a company advertised called Safe Auto where it seems that they only sell you the bare essentials. In other words, only the insurance required to license the vehicle in the state. Sorry, but people 19 years old have proven to be poor risks and that's why $500 a month is common. I know money is tight, and I hope you find something that works with your budget. Good luck! 4. If you have American Family anywhere close to you or can get an online quote...Go with them!!! I have a speeding ticket, from when I first got with them-points gone now...a crossing the yellow line..BY mistake, could NOT F***ing see and the cop was a ****head!!!!!! Then in October, I was in a wreck..sited because I blacked-out and don't remember a damn thing. I was freaking because I thought sure my insurance was going to be canceled or at the least raised..They did NOT raise or cancel me. They insisted I go ahead and be checked out because the knots and bruises on my head were serious and has called to check up on me a few times. They paid for it. I'm in Ohio, so you may have one in your area. 2 years ago a woman sideswiped me and the next day a woman ran a red light and damn near killed us...So that made me an even more defensive driver...I have no idea how the hell I blacked out and went through a stop sign!!! But my insurance company was VERY nice in this process. I only had liability which was over the legal limit at $32.00 a month. I have full coverage now for $53.00 a month. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!! Also, I have had progressive in the past and the other car who almost killed my son, had progressive-THEY SUCK, They are rude and expensive, and I wouldn't use them if they were free!!!!!!!!!
5. Hi James, I live in Michigan with my sister and dad. We all use a company out of Texas that is cheap. My sister is 19 and she pays $60 for full coverage on her new Mustang. She is on her own insurance, not my dads. Hope this helps. I listed there website below :)
6. I agree with Joy. In Michigan I would go with the company she mentioned. They are not very big but I have been with them for 2 years, no problem.
