I have a 18 yr old son and are planning on buying a car for him, also shopping for car insurance, I wanted a combined for me (mother) and my son, and possibily a cheap offer, the car is a used older car. Thanks for your imputs for helping me save. Thank you

1. you might want to speak with your agent, it might be better to put his on his own to keep your down. It depends on his age, record, the car, ect..the fact that he is young, might cost..you usually get a better rate with the company that you have been with the longest.

I'm a young new driver and when searching for quotes I found Tesco car insurance to be cheapest to pay in full and Virgin car insurance cheapest to pay in monthly instalments with cheap breakdown cover.... It's really just a case of shopping around. Hope this helps :) p.s. Virgin car insurance don't charge interest when you pay in instalments!
