- i've never had an insurance company ask me what color my car is. however, the cost of auto paint varies by the color and reds are more expensive than other colors.
- amazing - where do you people get this info?
- Of course it doesn't. What does affect the premium would be the engine size.
- No, it doesn't. But if your a cop on a road watching a minivan and a red sports car go by, you are likely to pay more attention to the car that catches your eye. And if you have a minivan and a sports car speeding, most often they are gonna pull over the sports car.
- No doesnt matter color of car, only when u are buying a car from a dealership then color matters on cost of car not insurance
- I'm in the insurance business. The short answer is: "It depends on the company". State Farm will often rate for a car based on its color. I have a friend that had her car repainted from Red to Black, and her rates went down. That's the honest truth! I work for a company that doesn't care one bit what the color of the car is, as they feel you're not more likely to get into an accident based on the color of your car.
- My recommended source may be is not the best suitable one for the question, however it should be quite useful to get the ideal answer.here you go.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/car-insurance-free.htm
- I really think the whole color thing is a myth. I doubt it makes much of a difference on your insurance premium. You could compare a couple of free quotes online to see if there is any difference with different car colors.
- I don't think so, unless you have had a custom paint job and have comprehensive insurance. Why would it matter what color the vehicle is unless it is so ugly that it causes blindness from the person driving it. What if you drive a tricolored station wagon with a coat hanger antenna that is forty years old?
